The 405 got designed by Pininfarina and is on record to be the last Peugeot car sold in America. Despite its unceremonious departure from the American market, the 405 still went on to leave quite a mark in other markets around the world. 

It was first manufactured in Europe between 1987 and 1997 but soon got replaced by the Peugeot 406. It has since soldiered on with production in places like Argentina as well as Iran and Egypt.

 

The Land Cruiser (36 years)

Toyota is one carmaker whose brand has a reputation for making a basic economy and frugal cars. Its reputation as a builder of rugged and off-road capable cars is second to none. SUVs such as the Land Cruiser have found application in militaries, Guerilla groups, expedition leaders and the likes to convey weapons, people and gear.

This third-generation car first came into the limelight back in 1970 and was in production until 1982. The technology of the car was sold to an Iranian company that renamed it the Z24.

Lotus (63 years)

The Lotus 7 is a product of foresight of the designer Colin Chapman. It is a car made up of wheels and engines. Created in 1957, the car was to be street legal while also racing on the weekends. 

Upon the end of production 16 years, Caterham bought the design and rights and continued production. 

Morgan 4/4 (83 Years)

One notable feature of cars made by Morgan is that they still make cars using hand-shaped wood frames. The Morgan 4/4 has the unique reputation of being its oldest design.
